Are you a Canadian considering relocating to Australia? Are you already here?

Before reading the below, I am actually hosting a information night 7pm (Brisbane time) on the 26th of February on home buying in Australia and I would love to have you join in. Please click (https://fb.me/e/4VSYe3YL2) to register

Making the decision to move to Australia can be a daunting and scary proposition. I have been there myself and understand the rainbow of feelings that you may be having! The fear of the unknown, leaving family behind, what to pack, and many other hard decisions.  But there are also many great things, including the excitement of starting a new life in a much warmer climate (with loads of spiders), the beautiful scenery and great work opportunities!

As a fellow Canadian who has been a mortgage broker in both Canada and now Australia, I believe that I am uniquely qualified to help you make your Australian home ownership dream a reality. Understanding the differences between the two systems can be an overwhelming and stressful proposition. There are a lot more differences than you may expect!

Joining the family business at age 19 in Calgary with Re/Max, I spent 19 years learning the ins and outs of the real estate industry as a Real Estate Agent.  My family and I (including my husband and 2 children) decided to embrace a new adventure and moved to Australia in 2013/14, no more winter driving! I decided to tackle a different aspect of the system and branch out as a mortgage broker. Having worked with excellent mortgage brokers throughout my career as a real estate agent, I understood how important having an outstanding broker was to the house buying process. I love that I am able to save my clients time and provide them with options. I have access to over 60 lenders which means I help find a product that suits your situation and provide a tailored approach to lending.

With an unexpected move back to Calgary in 2015 for 4 years, I became licenced as a mortgage broker there while still working as a real estate agent. Having that additional knowledge base was invaluable. Never one to sit idly by, a move back to Australia in 2019 was in the cards! Since returning, I have once again entered the wonderful, and sometimes challenging, world of mortgage broking.

I love to help clients find the best option to suit their needs, while educating them along the way. For most people, it is the biggest financial commitment you will ever make, so it is worth making sure that you are making the right decision! With you not just for the first home, but for every step of the way after, whether it your next home, a refinance, or looking to purchase a new car!

Working with fellow Canadians and adventurers is a great opportunity to help you with settling into your new home and we can discuss how we miss Timmie’s double doubles, Coffee Crisp and Perogies!
